Why join a cell group if I can do it on my own?

• "If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!" Ecclesiastes 4:10, NIV
• "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35, NIV
• "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. " Hebrews 10:24-25, NIV
• "If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." 1 John 1:6-7, NIV

Cell groups exist for you and me to:

• experience and extend saving grace (2 Corinthians 5:18-19),
• grow in having Christ spiritually formed in us (Hebrews 10:24-25),
• shepherd one another in loving, authentic community (Galatians 6:2),
• discover, develop, and deploy our spiritual gifts to serve the body of Christ (Romans 12:6-8), and,
• steward our time and treasures for God's redemptive purposes in our church, community, nation and world (Matthew 25:40).
